St.Paul's

I find it quite hard to paint more expressively when it comes to buildings, especially well known buildings like this one, but I do like a challenge. Thanks to Marion Brown on Paint My Photo for sharing the original image - I did enjoy the struggle, at least.

This is acrylic on watercolour paper - that was a challenge in itself!

I particularly love the way you have expressed the figures in this painting, Gillian. You have so much history in your country to inspire you!

Dear Gillian,
Not bad AT ALL! You're not alone. Me,too, no appetite for architecture. SO, I joined UrbanSketchers Australia(originally,Sydney Sketch Club to challenge myself like you and make friends with other sketchers. At the moment, the project keeps me very busy, but I'll enjoy it. Gillian, one day, we have to get together for sketching!
Cheers,Sadami

This is wonderful, Gillian. I love the colors you've infused into the buildings. You get the sense of grandeur in the architecture, but the soft color variations give it lots of life. Good job!

I love the soft colors or is it the lack of sharp edges? Anyhow, it's a soft picture that makes me think of a relaxed day out on a balmy day. Very nice.

I really like the way you did the figures -- actually, I like the whole thing. Well done.
